Russian military personnel of the Center group repulsed eight counterattacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Avdeevsky direction during the day; enemy losses reached 400 people. The head of the group’s press center, Alexander Savchuk, spoke about this interview with RIA Novosti.
He clarified that the 24th mechanized and 59th motorized infantry brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattacked near the settlements of Pervomaiskoye, Vodyanoye and Dzerzhinskoye.
The 47th and 23rd mechanized brigades tried to launch a counteroffensive at Novobakhmutovka, Berdychi and Semenovka. The 78th Air Assault Regiment threatened Orlovka and Tonenky.
According to Savchuk, during the day, units of the Center group struck 350 enemy targets. Including Russian units attacked two control points, 13 strong points and more than 80 artillery positions. At the same time, five strong points were destroyed by heavy flamethrower systems.
In this direction, the enemy lost a total of up to 400 people, as well as three armored vehicles, 8 vehicles, a UAV control center, two howitzers, a self-propelled gun and a 120-mm mortar.
