Ministry of Defense: Russian Armed Forces attacked Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities

Over the past day, the Armed Forces (AF) of Russia struck at the objects of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine involved in the production of drones, reported in the daily report of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“On December 31, 2022, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a strike with high-precision long-range air-launched weapons at the facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine involved in the manufacture of attack unmanned aerial vehicles used to carry out terrorist attacks against the Russian Federation. Also, storage sites and launch sites for strike UAVs were hit, ”the ministry said in a statement. The Ministry of Defense did not specify which objects were in question, but noted that “the goal of the strike was achieved.”

According to the ministry, over the past day, the Russian military destroyed six Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups near the settlements of Novoandreevka, Dorozhnyanka, Zaporozhye region, Nikolskoye, Neskuchnoye and Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

A mobile air surveillance radar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was destroyed near Kamyshevka in the DPR, and an American AN / TPQ-50 counter-battery radar was destroyed near Artemivsk. An artillery ammunition depot was destroyed near Mirny in the Zaporozhye region.

The ministry also reported that near the settlements of Ivanopolye and Zvanovka of the DPR, two Polish Krab self-propelled howitzers were destroyed, from which residential areas of the republic were shelled. A Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter was shot down near Poltavka (DPR).

During the day, 15 Ukrainian drones were shot down by means of air defense (air defense) – in the areas of six settlements of the DPR, in the areas of Ploschanka of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), Tsapovka of the Belgorod Region, Ocheretovaty of the Zaporozhye Region, Ochakov of the Nikolaev Region, Liman of the Second Kharkov Region and Crimean Dzhankoy. In the areas of the settlements of Popasnaya, Makeevka and Popovka, the LPR shot down seven rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.

December 31 Ministry of Defense reportedthat the village of Dorozhnyanka in the Zaporozhye region came under the control of Russian military personnel. Also on the eve, the Russian Armed Forces hit three points of temporary deployment of foreign mercenaries, destroyed the radar of the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, five US-made AN / TPQ-50 counter-battery radars, four American M777 artillery systems, a HIMARS MLRS launcher and a self-propelled Czech Dana howitzer.
