Ministry of Defense: nine Uragan MLRS shells were destroyed over the Belgorod region

Air defense systems destroyed nine shells of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) over the Belgorod region at night, reports press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“On the night of September 30, at about 3:45 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation using nine projectiles of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system was stopped,” the message says.

The shells were shot down in the air. The consequences on the ground are being clarified, there are no preliminary casualties or destruction, reported Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported in his Telegram channel.

On the morning of September 29, in the sky over the Belgorod region, air defense systems destroyed an aircraft-type drone. Later on the same day, Gladkov reported shelling from the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Dorogoshch, Grayvoronsky urban district, as a result of which the school building was damaged.
