Ministry of Defense: losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction exceeded 380 people per day

The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donetsk direction over the past day amounted to over 380 military personnel and mercenaries, informs the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense in its daily report on the progress of the special operation.

“During the day, the enemy’s losses amounted to more than 380 Ukrainian servicemen and mercenaries, one tank, four armored combat vehicles, six vehicles, an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery mount, two D-20 howitzers, and one D-30. Also, in the areas of the settlements of Verkhnekamenskoye and Kramatorsk of the Donetsk People’s Republic, two ammunition depots of the 54th mechanized and 80th airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed,” the message says.

The Ministry of Defense said that the assault detachments continued to conduct an offensive in the western part of Artemovsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut). The Airborne Forces provided them with support and pinned down units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the flanks.

Up to 55 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three tanks, five armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed in the Kupyansk direction. The report of the defense department says that in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka and Berestovoye of the Kharkov region, the actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were suppressed. More than 70 Ukrainian servicemen, three armored combat vehicles, an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery mount and two D-20 howitzers were killed in Krasno-Limansky.

The defense ministry added that up to 70 Ukrainian servicemen, three armored combat vehicles, two pickup trucks and a D-20 howitzer were destroyed in the South-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions per day. Enemy losses in the Kherson direction exceeded 50 people. Seven vehicles and a Msta-B howitzer were destroyed in this direction.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine has been going on since February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia.
