Those called up for compulsory military service will not be sent to the Northern Military District zone this fall. This was stated on Friday, September 29, during a briefing on the conscription by the Deputy Chief of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky.
“Servicemen undergoing conscription military service will not be sent to the points of deployment of units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the new regions of the Russian Federation: Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions or to participate there in carrying out the tasks of a special military operation,” Vladimir said Tsimlyansky during a briefing.
Let us remind you that military conscription in Russia officially starts on October 1. The duration of military service is one year.
