Ministry of Defense: APU lost more than 220 people while trying to gain a foothold in the south

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), in an attempt to gain a foothold in the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction, lost over 220 soldiers per day, should from the daily report of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine continued to try to gain a foothold in certain sections of the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction … In total, over the past day, during the hostilities in this operational direction, the enemy lost 11 tanks, seven infantry fighting vehicles and eight other armored vehicles, nine pickup trucks with heavy machine guns and more than 220 military personnel,” the statement said.
In addition, the Russian Aerospace Forces hit the temporary base of the Kraken national formation near Kharkov, destroying over 30 military and ten vehicles.
On August 29, the Russian military reported an attempt by the Ukrainian side to advance in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions in three directions. Then the military department said that Russian troops repelled the attack. According to the Ministry of Defense, in the first two days of these attempts, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 1,700 Ukrainian servicemen. With these attempts, Kyiv wants to create in the West the illusion of Ukraine’s ability to resist Russia, declared later Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
On August 24, Shoigu at a meeting of defense ministers of the SCO member states said that the slowdown in the advance of Russian troops during a special military operation in Ukraine is deliberate and due to the desire to avoid civilian casualties. The special operation is going according to plan, and its tasks will be fulfilled, the minister stressed.
