Miller: to restore Nord Stream, you need to build a compressor station

According to the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, in order to restore Nord Stream, it is necessary to build a new compressor station (CS) for Russian turbines.

He recalled that at the Portovaya compressor station, which pumped gas to the EU, there were problems with Siemens turbines, since the only plant for their repair is located in Canada, whose authorities imposed sanctions against the Russian company.

“At the moment, not a single turbine is operating at the Portovaya compressor station, therefore, in order to restore the operation of Nord Stream 1, it is actually necessary to build a new compressor station for other, Russian turbines,” he explained on Channel One, specifying that now “it is much faster to build everything anew.”

However, Miller focused on the fact that Moscow does not know whether European partners, including Germany, want to restore blown threads.
