Military expert Leonkov: The United States has squeezed everything it can out of Abrams

The American M1 Abrams tank was created primarily to participate in low-intensity military operations, while the Russian T-90 was created for global conflicts. This statement was made by military expert and editor of the Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine Alexey Leonkov in a conversation with NEWS.ru.
According to him, Abrams has already exhausted its resource potential and cannot be modernized.
“If we talk about Abrams, the Americans have already squeezed everything they can out of it. Each subsequent modernization will only complicate this machine,” Leonkov said.
He emphasized that the Russian tank could receive new sets of shells, as well as guns. All these upgrades will not affect the tank in any way, and the capabilities of the combat vehicle will not be exhausted in the coming decades.
The military expert added that the transfer of 31 Abrams tanks to Kyiv will not be able to change the situation on the battlefield.
