Military expert Kramnik assessed the new supply of US equipment to Kyiv: it will not make up for the losses

The key question is: where will Western armored vehicles be thrown to the Armed Forces of Ukraine?

Washington, obviously, decided to quickly make up for the losses that the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered in three weeks of a large offensive. To this end, weapons and equipment worth $500 million have been allocated from the Pentagon’s arsenals. Experts have assessed how these weapons can be used by Kiev.

A detailed list of the next batch of military property was given by the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST). The presidential package of military assistance to Ukraine included, in particular, anti-aircraft guided missiles for Patriot complexes; portable anti-aircraft missiles Stinger. Kyiv will also be given high-precision guided missiles GMLRS for HIMARS missile systems, aircraft missiles, artillery ammunition.

These are all consumables that the Armed Forces of Ukraine spend every day in large quantities, shelling our positions and the cities of Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

As compensation for blown up by Russian mines and padded armored vehicles, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive 30 M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and 25 Stryker armored personnel carriers. These, of course, are not Leopard or Abrams tanks, but light armored vehicles. But just such machines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be used to wedged into our defense lines.

Assessing the next package of American “ambulance military assistance” to Ukraine, military analyst Ilya Kramnik noted that in the United States, finally, “there is an awareness of the scale of battles and losses of armored vehicles” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a large offensive.

That is why 55 vehicles are being transferred: 30 Bradleys and 25 Strykers. And this is in addition to the 15 Bradleys and 10 Strikers that are provided for in the June 15 aid package. According to Kramnik, this will make up for the losses of previously delivered American armored fighting vehicles.

However, at the same time, the expert notes, the issue of general compensation for losses in armored vehicles, including Soviet ones, “is not resolved by these deliveries, as well as by ongoing European ones.” “The issue of building up forces is even more so, just like the issue of compensating for the loss of artillery, but it will be possible to continue fighting,” the expert concludes.

Just the day before, President Putin announced the total loss of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the offensive. These are 160 tanks and 360 armored vehicles.

According to Ilya Kramnik, “the key question now, in fact, is whether the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to break into the foreground of the Russian defensive position, or will they try to find a different solution.”

“In the first case, the increase in supplies will not help them much, in the second case, depending on where and how this “other solution” will be implemented,” the expert concluded.
