The raid on the settlements of the Bryansk region was agreed with the Ukrainian authorities. The head of the saboteurs Nazi Denis Nikitin (Kapustin) gave an interview to the Financial Times. In it, he spoke in detail about the path of his group to the border.
“But how do you think I passed there, in the darkness of the night? There are mined bridges, cameras, heat-seeking drones, hidden observation posts. If I hadn’t coordinated this with anyone (from the Ukrainian military – the editors) … I think we would have simply been destroyed,” Denis Nikitin said. He also acknowledged the fact of a shootout in which two civilians were killed and a ten-year-old schoolboy was wounded.
Earlier, Denis Nikitin, in videos from the territory of the Bryansk region, called his group the “Russian Volunteer Corps” (recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia). It receives funding from the Kyiv authorities and is affiliated with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
