Mikhalkova told how the family of the late Yudashkin lives: daughter Galina showed her wedding dress

Today, October 14, would have been the 60th birthday of the legendary couturier Valentin Yudashkin. He passed away in May of this year due to illness, just a few months short of his anniversary. The illness no longer allowed the artist-fashion designer to actively communicate with friends and colleagues, as it was before. Nevertheless, they did not forget him and tried to maintain relations. For the sake of Valentin’s memory, Alla Pugacheva even decided to come to Moscow to say goodbye to her friend.

She was present at his shows even when our country was closed from the rest of the world, at least in the field of fashion. Then Yudashkin became one of the pioneers in this matter, as Tatyana Evgenievna told MK.

“For many years, Valya and I were united by the fact that he supported young designers and came to our competition. And we always followed Valya to his shows. I remember these first appearances in Paris, in Italy…. Amazing collections! It was a victory for our country, and fashion fans shared this joy with us. I remember that both foreign and our cultural figures specially came to the shows. Alexander Dostman, Ilya Reznik, Zurab Tsereteli, Sati Spivakova and many others.

When the Days of Russian Culture were held in Cannes, Prince Albert II of Monaco was even there with his wife at Yudashkin’s show. And the entire stage of the Cannes Palace was too small for such chic images,” recalls Mikhalkova.

When it became known that Yudashkin was ill, his family continued to be his main support. He lived with his wife Marina for 35 years. The marriage produced a daughter, Galina, who gave her father two grandchildren and a granddaughter.

“Their acquaintance with Marina and their entire subsequent life was out of love. The first collection appeared thanks to Marina, who sold her car. During the difficult years of his illness, Marina supported him and was by his side, not allowing him, as they say, to relax and feel that he was sick. She believed that he should be at work: it gives more strength and energy when you are in demand. They were always next to each other, doing the same thing together,” says Tatyana Evgenievna.

Of course, numerous fans of Valentin Yudashkin are interested in the fate of his legacy. As MK managed to find out, the father’s work is now being continued by his daughter.

“Galya has already demonstrated her children’s collection during the Moscow International Film Festival as the legal successor. Stars with children and even small dogs were involved in the shows. Everything went with a bang. What I saw was very professional and interesting. It seems to me that Galina has abilities, talent and a great desire to continue her father’s work. And today, October 14, Valentine’s birthday, her new collection will be shown in Dubai, which includes wedding dresses. Many have already received an invitation, including me, but I don’t have time to get there. Wedding dresses are an interesting and in-demand topic. God grant that Galina will continue the activities of Valentin Yudashkin. Of course, now, due to this situation in the world, it is not easy to work in the fashion field. Fashion is not only a holiday, but also a lot of work for a huge number of people throughout the year,” summed up Tatyana Mikhalkova.

By the way, Galina has been living in two countries for a long time. Her husband, Peter Maksakov, has a business in the UAE. In Dubai they live in luxury apartments near the beach. It would seem, why leave? But since after her father left, the lion’s share of the fashion house’s affairs fell on her shoulders, Galina is forced to fly to Russia often. According to rumors, when the fashion designer found out about his diagnosis, he transferred all rights to his daughter.

Producer Joseph Prigogine knew Yudashkin for more than 35 years. As it turned out, he was also at the origins and even helped Valentin earn money, so the efforts of his wife Marina were not in vain.

“I have known Valya since 1988. I was the same person who presented his first collection at the Variety Theater. Boris Sergeevich Brunov was still alive then, and I was the producer of this show. I even managed to sell the collection. At that time, for crazy money – two million rubles. But at that time I was even less than 20 years old, and my task was to prove myself, so I didn’t even touch the money, the guys communicated directly,” Prigozhin recalls the beginning of Yudashkin’s career. – In general, we have always been on good terms. Valeria, like other artists with whom I previously worked, took part in Valentin Yudashkin’s show. We still have an excellent relationship with Marina, we know his children and his mother.”

By the way, Valentina’s mother has been living for many years in a beautiful house in Israel, which her caring son bought for her. She heads one of the departments of the Fashion House, working remotely. True, in light of recent events, the circumstances of her current life are not known.
