Mikhalkov criticized the idea to teach in Ukrainian in the schools of Donbass

If the schools of Donbass teach subjects in Ukrainian, it will be a disaster. This position was expressed by the chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, director and actor Nikita Mikhalkov.
According to Mikhalkov, the Ukrainian language has become a symbol of Russophobia. Those phrases that “we hear in Ukrainian transcription or pronunciation” speak of hatred for Russia.
So Mikhalkov commented on the information according to which the education of children in the schools of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics and in the liberated territories can be conducted in Ukrainian, but according to the Russian educational program. The study of the Ukrainian language as a native language is planned to be made possible in the schools of the DPR and LPR.
