The American corporation Microsoft and Amazon have suspended access to their cloud products in Russia since March 20. The Russian company Softline announced this on Friday, March 15.

Users in Russia acknowledge receipt of mailings from Microsoft and Amazon about the upcoming shutdown of cloud products, as well as the shutdown of services that used such products.

To avoid data loss, users are advised to back up anything related to Microsoft and Amazon cloud products as soon as possible.

Earlier, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, at a press conference together with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, said that approximately 95% of Western companies, including Austrian ones, still working in Russia.

In August 2023, all Russian business clients of Microsoft received a notification that the company stops renewing corporate subscriptions. This was a continuation of the policy chosen by the corporation in March 2022, when Microsoft management announced the suspension of sales of its products in Russia due to a special operation.
