For the first time ever, Playboy featured an image of a girl created using artificial intelligence (AI). Mexican edition of the magazine chose heroine Samantha Everly – all her photos are generated by a neural network.
Samantha appears to be a 23-year-old girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She has accounts on social networks, and the number of her subscribers exceeds 119 thousand. Playboy writes that her popularity “grew like wildfire.” The publication also contains an “interview” with the girl, in which she says on her behalf that being on the cover of Playboy is a great honor, and “if she could dream, this would be her dream.”
In February Apple presented multimodal AI model MGIE for image editing. That same month, ChatGPT developers showed a neural network that creates videos based on description. The model, called Sora, is capable of generating high-quality videos up to a minute long. The neural network can create photorealistic videos and animate static images.
