The Synod also appointed Bishop Constantine of Zaraisk as the new head of the Patriarchal Exarchate in Africa and dismissed the head of the affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Dionysius of the Resurrection. He was appointed Metropolitan of Omsk and Tauride. Metropolitan Gregory of Ekaterinodar and Kuban was appointed as the new manager of affairs.
