Methods of non-standard approaches to the development of schoolchildren’s talents were discussed at school No. 2065

The Moscow School No. 2065 hosted the conference “The World is Us!”, ​​in which students and teachers from schools in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm, Kamchatka, as well as the Republic of Chechnya, the Republic of Abkhazia and China took part.

Within the framework of the conference, its participants discussed non-standard approaches to the development of schoolchildren’s talents, ways to involve children and adolescents in various extracurricular activities, talked about how the school environment can become a tool for developing a child’s personality. As the moderator of the conference, Deputy Director for the upbringing and socialization of children of school No. 2065 Konstantin Ursegov, said, a unique system of patronage has been created in the educational institution: a certain class of elementary school is assigned to each grade of middle and high school.

“High school students spend active changes with younger students, in particular, quests, drawing contests, dance flash mobs,” said Konstantin Uresov. – “Mentors” help their sponsors during the theater festival to draw posters, prepare scenery and stage performances. Thanks to the “children to children” format, the younger ones absorb information better, are less shy and can express themselves more actively. And they also know that they have senior comrades who can be contacted with any question.

Another “know-how” of school No. 2065, presented at the conference, is the created multifunctional creative space, which, for example, can turn from an art studio into a lecture hall or a place for outdoor games.

“Thus, children are not in the usual environment of school classrooms, but in a free and comfortable territory for creativity, which helps to reveal the abilities of students,” the deputy director of the school explained.

Representatives of school No. 338 told the participants of the conference “The world is us!” about how their school self-government system is organized, in particular, in order to enter the school council, the children must first win the children’s vote, where candidates are evaluated not only on personal qualities, but also on the proposed ideas aimed at improving the life of the school. And the students of school No. 2057 presented a video at the conference about how they participate in the city competition “Successful Youth”.

– The conference provided an opportunity to learn how schools live in different parts of Russia and in other countries. We hope that such meetings will become regular, and their geography will only expand, – said the organizer of the conference, a teacher at school No. 2065 Denis Kovalev.
