The first part of the 2022/23 FNL-2 season ended with the twenty-second round. Metallurg Lipetsk took the third place in the standings according to the results of the matches.
The last match this year, Sergei Pervushin’s wards played on the road in Ryazan, playing with the local club of the same name. The hosts scored two unanswered goals and won 2-0. Metallurg lost the second match in a row, but this did not prevent the Lipetsk side from taking a place at the top of the table.
