Metallurg and Traktor played their first matches at pre-season tournaments

Magnitogorsk outplayed Avtomobilist, and Chelyabinsk lost to Ak Bars

South Ural clubs are playing in Ufa and Kazan these days. Metallurg went to the Cup of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and Traktor went to the TANECO Cup. The day before, on the tenth of August, the first meetings were held for each team.

The Magnitogorsk team were the first to take to the ice. The match between Metallurg and Avtomobilist within the Cup of the Republic of Bashkortostan took place in the afternoon. Alexander Sudnitsin stood at the gates of Magnitogorsk.

The first period was without goals, although both teams got the opportunity to play with a numerical advantage. Much more productive in terms of the score was the second segment. Metallurg was able to upset the Yekaterinburg goalkeeper twice. Maxim Mukhametov and Maxim Karpov scored goals.

The last 20 minutes also started productively for Magnitogorsk. In the first minute of the segment, the score became 3-0 after a goal by Arkhip Nekolenko. But discipline let Metallurg down a little: in the middle of the segment, Magnitogorsk played in the minority, and Avtomobilist took full advantage of this chance. First, they won back one puck, converting the game 5 on 3, then the second one, when Magnitogorsk defended in a 5 on 4 format.

The result of the meeting is the victory of Metallurg with a score of 3:2. Today, August 11, Magnitogorsk will play the second match against the hosts of the tournament – Salavat Yulaev.

In Kazan on the same day, August 10, Traktor played against the hosts of the TANECO Cup Kazan Ak Bars. The composition of the “black and white” was close to optimal. Only Andrey Chibisov, Nikita Soshnikov and new goalkeeper Zach Fukale did not play.

In contrast to Metallurg’s afternoon match, Tatneft Arena spectators saw the goals already in the opening of the match. The Ak Bars goal was printed by Traktor player Mikhail Goryunov-Rolgizer. Then Vladimir Tkachev increased the gap to 2:0.

The hosts managed to reduce the score on the scoreboard by the middle of the second segment. At Ak Bars, Kirill Semyonov and Alexander Radulov became the authors of the abandoned pucks. The teams entered the third period on an equal footing – 2:2. However, at the very beginning of the period, Radulov hit the “black and white” gate for the third time. Towards the end of the meeting, the Kazan team managed to “roll up” another puck to the Chelyabinsk team. The score was 4:2 after a shot by Vadim Shipachyov. But “Tractor” did not calm down and made an attempt to close the gap. As a result, Sergei Telegin made 4:3, but the guests did not have enough time to play the fourth puck.

The result – a defeat with a score of 4:3. Today, August 11, “black and white” will have a match with “Barys”.
