The jewelry company Mercury has released a new series of animated films featuring precious bears in honor of the 125th anniversary of the Moscow Art Theater. A.P. Chekhov. In it, the Mercury bears go to the Moscow Art Theater for an evening performance. A short animated sketch conveys the mood of the upcoming theatrical festival and reminds of the pleasant excitement of the audience in anticipation of the performance. The artists focused on recognizable details of the Moscow Art Theater: the legendary building on Kamergersky Lane, the interior of the foyer with portraits of the current theater troupe, the curtain and the symbol of the theater – a seagull soaring above the waves.
Following the theatrical tradition, cartoon characters rub their noses with the bronze busts of the founding fathers of the Moscow Art Theater on the way to the auditorium, and the animated jewelry bears, after visiting the dressing room and looking at the elegant spectators in Mercury jewelry, freeze in excitement in front of the opening curtain of the legendary theater. The musical accompaniment of the cartoon was “March” from the suite by composer Ilya Sats for the play by Konstantin Stanislavsky based on the play “The Blue Bird” by Maurice Maeterlinck.
