The Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod received another lawsuit from companies that manage Tanuki sushi bars. Restaurateurs want to recover damages for the massive cancellation of the delivery of dishes from the founder of the movement “Men’s State” banned in Russia, Vladislav Pozdnyakov, and his former supporters Igor Nosov and Dmitry Gubanov. The informal organization in the prosecutor’s office was described as a “national-patriarchal community.” Her recognized extremist in 2021 for harassing Russian girls walking with foreigners, representatives of other nationalities, as well as sexual minorities on social networks.

The reason was the economic attacks of the “Male State” on the restaurants “Tanuki” and “Ebidoebi” with the mass cancellation of orders. Activists were not satisfied with advertising of sushi bars with a black man and packaging similar in color to LGBT symbols.

Vladislav Pozdnyakov demanded that restaurateurs apologize to the Russian nation and remove advertising banners from the Internet. The Ebidoebi network apologized and removed the ad, while Tanuki did not respond to this threat.

Then the supporters of the “Male State” committed a mass cancellation of food delivery in Moscow, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod, using disposable SIM cards. Unknown people ordered food, but did not answer the couriers: they did not pick up the phones or turned off the phones altogether. They signed the reasons for the failures: “In vain you fit for the nigers”, “MG” and other messages that Tanuki considered a sign of a planned attack. Returned dishes had to be written off. Initially, the restaurant chain estimated the losses from the actions of the “Male State” at 158 ​​thousand rubles. and applied to the court from the management company Voskhod LLC for the recovery of damages. The restaurateurs failed to find those who staged the attack, so a lawsuit was filed against three defendants in the case of a traffic ban.

However, the restaurateurs failed to prove the involvement of Nizhny Novgorod residents Igor Nosov and Dmitry Gubanov in causing losses. Earlier, the Leninsky Court decided to recover the required amount only from the leader of the movement, Vladislav Pozdnyakov. Igor Nosov proved in court that he left the movement back in 2018, having become disillusioned with its ideology.

At first, young people only promoted a healthy lifestyle and organized subbotniks, and when it came to organizing bullying, the Nizhny Novgorod cell of the “Men’s State” disbanded itself, having made such a decision at a general meeting in a shopping center.

The non-involvement of Igor Nosov was also confirmed by an employee of the Nizhny Novgorod Center for Combating Extremism. Claims against Dmitry Gubanov were also rejected by the court.

Igor Nosov told Kommersant that their evidence in the case would be similar to that given in the first trial. “The plaintiffs will say that they saw our names when the movement was recognized as extremist, which means that, in their opinion, we played this game. At the preliminary meeting, a request was made to the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court, which decided to ban the “Men’s State”. There is information that Dmitry Gubanov and I left this organization back in 2018, long before these false orders,” said Mr. Nosov.

Dmitry Gubanov added that for the first time he heard about the attacks on the Tanuki sushi cafe. “For some reason, I was attributed to these attacks. As if I have nothing to do but harm some enterprise. Why haven’t the true culprits of these calls been identified? To do this, there are the police, the FSB and other government agencies where you can turn to identify the persons involved. And the innocent should not be touched, ”he said.

The trial was postponed to March 7: the Leninsky District Court decided to wait for the appearance of representatives of Granat LLC and the materials of the regional court on recognizing the “Men’s State” as an extremist organization.
