Men who beat up a SVO member were detained in St. Petersburg

After an incident registered in the Vasileostrovsky district of St. Petersburg, police officers detained two local residents, aged 31 and 33, on suspicion of beating a 40-year-old participant in a special operation. It is specified that the incident occurred on Monday at 17:31 near house No. 2 on Birzhevoy Lane.
According to the press service of the GUMVD for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the victim, who is a member of the SVO, made a remark to two young men whose Lexus car was parked on the sidewalk. This led to a verbal conflict, which later escalated into a fight. After beating the pedestrian, the attackers fled the scene.
The suspects were identified and detained, and a criminal case was initiated under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism). The issue of choosing a preventive measure is currently being considered.
