A representative delegation from Zimbabwe will observe the presidential elections in Russia, which will be held in 2024. The delegation received a corresponding invitation from the head of the CEC, Ella Pamfilova. This was announced by the chairman of the commission of the Civic Chamber of Russia on Patriotic Projects and Protection of Sovereignty Vladimir Rogov, who is now in Zimbabwe.
“Our delegation received an invitation from the head of the CEC, Ella Pamfilova, to participate as observers of the delegation of Zimbabwe. This invitation was accepted. And in March next year, a delegation of Zimbabwe in a representative composition will come to the presidential elections among many other observers,” said Vladimir Rogov TASS.
Observers from the Civic Chamber of Russia are following the voting process in the presidential, parliamentary and local elections in Zimbabwe, which began on August 23.
Earlier, the chairman of the CEC of Russia stated that the next presidential elections in Russia would be announced within the time limits specified by law. So far, they are scheduled for March 17, 2024. The Federation Council makes a decision to call elections no earlier than 100 days and no later than 90 days before voting day. The current president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has not announced plans to participate in the elections.
