Today, before the next meeting of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai, eight people, including several members of the Communist Party faction, held a picket. The participants of the picket opposed the inadmissibility of representatives of the Communist Party to the composition of the formed precinct election commissions (PECs).
The picketers lined up in front of the entrance to the government and parliament building of Primorye, kept in the hands of posters: “We demand fair elections”, “It is weak to win without pocket commissions ?!”, “A communist in every PEC”, “Kozhemyako (Governor of Primorye – “b”) is afraid of control?”, “Elections without a choice”, “If you couldn’t buy, then we’ll take it off?”. The picket lasted about 20 minutes, the police did not interfere in what was happening.
The seaside regional organization of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation may refuse to nominate a candidate for the post of governor of the region in the upcoming elections in September. The Communists are outraged that during the formation of the PECs, candidates from the party are not en masse included in their composition. For example, in the Leninsky district of Vladivostok, according to updated data, out of 53 commissions, representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation were not included in 47 of them.
Littoral Communist leader Anatoly Dolgachev informed “Kommersant” that the decision on the possibility of boycotting the election of the governor will be made at the plenum of the regional committee on June 11.
