Valery Meladze explained himself in social networks after the incident at the New Year’s corporate party in Dubai, where he continued the nationalist phrase “Glory to Ukraine”, which an enthusiastic fan shouted to him.
“People, I want you to hear me and understand my words,” wrote Meladze.
He then noted that for several months now he has been living in a state of “heaviness and grief” because of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine – two peoples that he dearly loves.
“I can’t and don’t want to hate anyone, and I’m not trying to please anyone,” Meladze noted, I emphasize that he only dreams of establishing harmony between close peoples.
Recall that earlier the leader of A Just Russia – For the Truth, Sergei Mironov, proposed to deprive the singer Valery Meladze of all his titles, and Elena Afanasyeva, a member of the Federation Council, proposed to deprive Meladze of Russian citizenship.
