Meghan Markle reveals her son Archie nearly died in house fire

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle told Sirene Williams on the Archetypes podcast that in 2019 her son Archie could have been seriously injured while on tour in South Africa with Prince Harry.
There was a fire in the children’s room, but their “wonderful nanny” Lauren followed her instinct and carried Archie to the first floor when she decided to grab a bite to eat. The woman was from Zimbabwe and often carried the boy, fastened to her back with a handkerchief, according to the custom of her country.
While they were gone, the heater in the bedroom caught fire. Someone from the family smelled smoke in the hallway and put out the flames.
Megan Markle noted with horror that at this time the boy should already be sleeping in his crib. The family was moved to another house, but despite the incident, the couple had to leave the child again to participate in activities. Megan admitted that she wanted to tell everyone about what happened so that she would not be forced to leave her son anymore. But still she refused this idea, and fulfilled her obligations.
Sirena Williams admitted that in her place, after such a terrible incident, she would not have been able to leave her daughter Olympia.
