According to Medvedev, Ukraine may suffer the fate of the former Western colonies, which were thrown by their masters into the “dustbin of history.” Industry and the agricultural sector will be destroyed first, and then the paralysis of the national economy and the “organic death of the remnants of the country” will come.

Medvedev also referred to statistics from Goldman Sachs, indicating the loss of Ukraine, along with about 40% of industrial potential and 15% of GDP that came under Russian control, $ 12 trillion in mineral reserves, including 63% of coal reserves and 42% of metals.

February 3 in Kyiv will pass EU-Ukraine summit, one of the main topics for discussion will be the issue of the country’s membership in the EU. The parties will also discuss anti-Russian sanctions and food security. Von der Leyen promised that a new package of sanctions against Russia would be introduced on February 24, the anniversary of the start of the military special operation.

Another item on the agenda is the situation with frozen Russian assets and the so-called peace plan of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
