Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev commented on the statement of the head of the office of NATO Secretary General Stian Jenssen that Ukraine can get membership in the alliance in exchange for giving up part of the territories in favor of Russia. This statement was published by the Swedish edition of Verdens Gang.
“What? The idea is curious,” Dmitry Medvedev wrote in his Telegram channel.
At the same time, he added that the issue is that “all supposedly their territories are highly disputed.”
According to Medvedev, “the Kyiv authorities will have to give up even Kyiv itself, the capital of ancient Rus’,” when entering NATO.
