Media: three people detained in the UK on suspicion of spying for Russia

Three Bulgarian citizens have been detained in the UK on suspicion of spying for Russia. About it reported British Air Force Service with reference to the report.
They were detained and arrested back in February as part of a national security investigation. According to investigators, they worked for the Russian special services. They were charged, among other things, with possession of forged documents with “improper intentions”.
Among the detainees – 45-year-old Orlin Rusev, 41-year-old Bayzer Dzhambazov, 31-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova. According to the BBC, they have been living in the UK for several years, periodically changing jobs in different areas. In particular, Rusev previously had experience in doing business in Russia. After coming to the UK in 2009, he worked as a technical specialist in the financial services industry. Prior to that, he said, he was also an adviser to the Bulgarian Ministry of Energy.
Later edition of Sky News, citing the London police reported about five detainees. Other detainees include two women aged 31 and 29. All five were later released on bail and pledged to return in September. They are expected to appear in court in January 2024. They have not pleaded guilty at this time.
