Medvedev: the new multipolar world will be more difficult, it suits Russia

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, believes that the new multipolar world “will be much more difficult than a two-dimensional bipolar or unipolar dictate.” According to him, Russia “suits such a scheme.” He argues that the time has come “to remove the malignant tumor of the colonial past.”

On the site of “United Russia” published article Mr. Medvedev under the heading “Together with other countries, we can drive the final nail into the coffin of the neo-colonial aspirations of the Western world.”

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, referring to the UN classification, writes that there are still enough non-self-governing territories in the world, such rudiments of the collapse of the colonial system in the 1950s-1970s of the 20th century. They, in his words, “are only becoming stronger in understanding the correctness of resisting the remnants of neo-colonial practices.” Mr. Medvedev is convinced that states are no longer afraid of the “collective West.”
