The Russian military-industrial complex has managed to reach such indicators of military equipment production that previously seemed fantastic. This statement was made on Thursday, June 1, by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

According to the politician, “the figures are very impressive.” Since the beginning of 2023, over 600 tanks have been produced, and the production of shells and cannon artillery is also actively increasing.

Medvedev admitted that he himself did not expect such a rapid deployment of large-scale production of military equipment.

Earlier, Western media noted that the active production of T-90M tanks in Russia has become one of the main problems for Western countries, since equipping Russian military equipment with thermal camouflage makes it much more difficult to detect it from a long distance. Even the old T-55 and T-62 tanks, which are not taken seriously by Western representatives, are on the battlefield could become a significant threat: their armor is stronger, and the guns are larger than those currently received by Ukraine from NATO, the journalists pointed out.
