Medvedev proposed to legalize intellectual piracy “for everything”

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev proposed to legalize piracy “on everything: from movies to industrial software.” According to him, such measures will be retaliatory sanctions for stopping the sale to Russia of rights to use intellectual property, including movies and software (software).

Dmitry Medvedev argues that in Russia they were able to replace “the vast majority of industrial products and consumer goods” with domestic or Asian ones. He also noted the work of parallel import programs. “So everything is as always: the Americans are making money on a humiliated Europe. Crushed Europe suffers and loses money,” Mr. Medvedev wrote in his Telegram channel.
