During the reception of citizens, the chairman of United Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, promised to work with the Bank of Russia on the topic of converting hryvnias into rubles, which is very important, including for saving the savings of citizens evacuated from territories controlled by Kyiv and residents of new constituent entities of the Russian Federation. As Medvedev stressed, this is not a question of interbank operations and obligations – there are none between the two countries, but a question of providing support to people.
“We will definitely take certain actions here, I will talk with the chairman of the Central Bank of Russia on how to solve this problem for the future, both in terms of places of exchange and in terms of amounts too. We will also deal with the cards, of course,” Dmitry Medvedev promised.
Earlier, Russian politicians and government officials have repeatedly raised the issue of simplifying the passage of various mandatory Russian procedures for former residents of the territories controlled by Kyiv.
