Ukrainian politicians can make a video broadcast from Yalta only while in a pre-trial detention center, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, wrote on his Twitter page.

In this way, Medvedev reacted to the promise of Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, to make a live broadcast from the Yalta embankment in six months.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky earlier in an interview with the Financial Times announced his readiness to consider the return of Crimea to Ukraine “by non-military means.” He stressed that the armed conflict will not end until the country regains its lost territories.
In response, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov replied that the return of Crimea to Ukraine “by non-military means” was out of the question.
Crimea became part of Russia in 2014 after a referendum. According to its results, 96.77% of voters in the Republic of Crimea and 95.6% in Sevastopol were in favor of joining Russia. Nevertheless, Kyiv continues to insist that Crimea is Ukrainian territory. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the issue of Crimea is “finally closed.”
