Medvedev offered a response to Kyiv’s intention to return the Crimea

The answer to the statements of the Ukrainian side about the return of Crimea can only be the complete defeat of the enemy and “acts of retaliation” against the “key figures” of the Kyiv regime, regardless of their location and statute of limitations, wrote Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, on his Telegram channel.

Thus, the deputy chairman of the Security Council commented on the statement of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the Finnish Yle and other Scandinavian publications that he believes in the success of the counteroffensive, which supposedly will allow the Ukrainian side to seize Crimea.

Medvedev noted that “even delusional speeches should not be underestimated.” In his opinion, such statements are “a hysterical manifesto of the Kyiv regime”, which is necessary to maintain the spirit of the military and receive support from other countries. But the deputy chairman of the Security Council believes that the answer to it can only be the “mass destruction” of military equipment and personnel involved in the counteroffensive, “the complete defeat of the enemy” and also “the implementation of acts of retaliation against key figures of the Nazi regime, regardless of their location and no statute of limitations.”

According to him, “otherwise they will not calm down.” “Our country does not need this,” Medvedev summed up.

Ukraine announces a counteroffensive from the winter. On March 10, adviser to the head of the country’s presidential office, Mikhail Podolyak, in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa, said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could begin within the next two months.
