Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev failed to win the title in the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing. Italian Jannik Sinner beat the Russian tennis player with a score of 7:6 (7:2), 7:6 (7:2), as follows from the tournament bracket. Medvedev won the previous six matches with Sinner.
The tennis players spent a little more than two hours on the court. The title won was the third for 22-year-old Jannik Sinner this season and the ninth in his career. Prior to this, Sinner beat the second racket of the world, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
The Chinese Open was 27-year-old Daniil Medvedev’s first tournament since losing to Novak Djokovic in the US Open final. This final is Medvedev’s eighth this season, having won five ATP titles in 2023.
