Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, did not agree with the point of view promoted by Western countries that Russia “is in isolation.” He stated that the country is rapidly developing relations with Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Russia’s ties with Europe have decreased, but not disappeared, but with the global South and the global East they have grown, Medvedev wrote in an article for “Russian newspaper“.
After the Europeans lost the Russian market, and their investments burned down, the production facilities themselves remained, becoming “free or much cheaper capacities” for Russian companies, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council said.
