The border village of Elizavetovka was left without electricity as a result of the shelling of the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region by Ukraine, Governor Roman Starovoit said. No one was hurt in the attack and there was no damage.
“Not far from the village of Elizavetovka, 7 arrivals were counted. There were no casualties or damage, but the village was left without electricity as a result of the shelling,” wrote on his Telegram channel Starovoit, adding that the repair crews will begin the restoration as soon as it is safe.
From June 26 to July 2, three villages in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region lost power as a result of shelling, the governor reported. June 18 Ukrainian military fired upon three settlements, the power line was damaged, part of the village of Glushkovo was left without electricity.
Shelling of the Kursk region is recorded regularly. On June 18, as a result of the arrival of shells in the village of Glushkovo, two people were injured. In addition, houses and several shops in the market area were damaged. In total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired more than 16 shells at the settlement.
A high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat operates in the region indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a “medium response level” has been established in the region. The same regime operates in seven other subjects of the Russian Federation – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
