Medvedev called Kyiv “just a Russian city”

Kyiv is “just a Russian city”, where they always spoke and thought in Russian, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said in his Telegram channel. So, he commented statements of Kyiv politicians about the return of Crimea to Ukraine.

Medvedev said that Crimea was being threatened with the return of “various cockroaches that have bred in the Kiev insectarium” in order to “show the owner of the insectarium that they are still very capable of cockroach runs for a piece of food.” In this regard, the politician recalled, as he said, four “immutable facts.” Kyiv was the capital of Ancient Rus’, then – a large Little Russian city within the Russian Empire, and then became the republican capital within the USSR.

“And finally, Kyiv is just a Russian city where people always thought and spoke Russian. To make everything very clear what and how to return, ”Medvedev wrote.

At the end of June, the deputy chairman of the Security Council announced that any attempt to encroach on Crimea would be a declaration of war on Russia. After the explosion on the Crimean bridge on October 8, Medvedev said that the Russians were waiting for the “direct destruction of the terrorists” who were involved in the incident. On August 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kyiv would return Crimea in any way it considered right, and would not consult with other countries on this matter.
