Medvedev accused Kyiv of wanting to arrange an ecological catastrophe in the Black Sea

The alleged Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian tanker “Sig” in the Kerch Strait indicates the desire of Kyiv to arrange an environmental disaster, declared Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. Russia, he believes, should attack the western part of Ukraine, which will soon “fall off” to Poland.

“If the Kiev scum wants to arrange an ecological catastrophe in the Black Sea, they must get it on that part of their territory that will soon fall off to Poland and that will stink for centuries after that,” he wrote.

This would be their “final decision” on the grain deal, the ex-president added.

The ship is afloat, the crew is struggling with the consequences of the leak, no one was injured. Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, reported on his Telegram channel at night that a civilian ship had been attacked by sea drones.

On August 2, the Ministry of Defense announced an attempted attack by an unmanned boat on a Russian Navy ship that was escorting civilian maritime transport in the southwestern part of the Black Sea. On the night of August 4, the Ukrainian side tried to attack the naval base in Novorossiysk with naval drones.
