Kommersant: 16-year-old girl became a new defendant in the case of the attempt on Simonyan and Sobchak
In the criminal case on the preparation of an assassination attempt on the editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT Margarita Simonyan and journalist Ksenia Sobchak, a new defendant has appeared, informs “Kommersant”. According to the publication, this is a 16-year-old girl.
Investigators learned about her because of the videos that members of the group who planned the assassination posted on Telegram.
In the published videos, a minor was engaged in luring victims (mostly from Central Asia) to deserted places. There they were attacked by members of the group.
The investigation believes that these videos attracted the attention of the SBU officers, who gave the task to the group.
In the criminal case of hooliganism, there are several similar episodes, the newspaper reports, at least two of them involved a girl.
Earlier in July, it became known that the FSB, the TFR and the Ministry of Internal Affairs prevented the preparation of assassination attempts on Simonyan and Sobchak. Their murder was reportedly prepared by the neo-Nazi group Paragraph-88.
