Medinsky: sections from the 1970s to the 2000s have been rewritten in the new history textbook

Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky said that the sections devoted to the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s were completely revised in the updated unified history textbook for grades 10-11.

“The authors literally wrote with their own hand much of the last I listed,” Medinsky said at a press conference.

Medinsky said that the textbook has become much less “figures, dates, dry statistics” and more “stories about people” and information about “specific real events.”
