Blinken arrived in Kyiv on the morning of 6 September. During his speech at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, he declaredthat Washington sees “good progress” in Ukraine’s counter-offensive, and added that it is important for the US that Kiev has everything it needs to carry it out successfully.

Blinken last visited Kyiv on September 8, 2022. In April 2022, according to media reports, he traveled to Ukraine with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
