Media: US intelligence knew about Prigozhin’s plans

US intelligence agencies also believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin was warned that Prigozhin was “up to something.”
On the evening of June 23, in social networks associated with the head of the PMC, on his behalf, it was announced about a missile attack on one of the rear camps of a military company. The Ministry of Defense said that reports of strikes are not true and are “an informational provocation.” Then “Wagner” blockaded Rostov-on-Don and took control of the city’s military installations. The Investigation Department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case on the organization of an armed rebellion against Prigozhin. Against the backdrop of the situation around PMC Wagner, the authorities of the Russian regions began to impose restrictions on movement and cancel mass events. On the evening of June 24, the Kremlin reported on the agreements reached with Prigogine. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held talks with him, Prigozhin agreed to take measures to de-escalate the situation.
