The US intelligence community is beginning to place more confidence in the Palestinian Ministry of Health’s reports on the death toll in the Gaza Strip. writes The Wall Street Journal newspaper, citing American officials.

Washington has collected information about the consequences of the Israeli bombing of Gaza, but it is not enough to confirm the Palestinian data, interlocutors say.

According to the intelligence community, the Palestinian Health Ministry’s information is “approximately accurate.”

Previously, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reportedthat the death toll in the Gaza Strip as of November 10 was 11,025, including 4,506 children. Over 27,000 were affected. In the West Bank there are 183 dead and about 2,500 injured.

Israel began bombing the Gaza Strip on October 7, following an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on the southern regions of the country. During the Israeli attack, about 1,400 people were killed, and more than 200 were taken hostage by militants.

Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca reported November 10 that Turkey, Israel and Egypt agreed to create a coordination group to remove wounded and sick residents of the Gaza Strip. Prior to this, during negotiations with Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, an agreement was reached on the entry of two Turkish ships to send field hospitals and ambulances.
