The US authorities will continue to strengthen export restrictions for China, according to the Telegram channel of the All-Russian public organization Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

It is noted that in the context of constantly updated export restrictions on supplies to China, Western companies, not wanting to lose the market and reputation, are looking for the opportunity to sell “truncated” versions of their products to the Chinese. The “pioneer” in this direction was the American corporation Nvidia (the world’s largest manufacturer of artificial intelligence chips), which developed at least 3 products for the Chinese market that were not subject to restrictions in any way according to their characteristics.

But the US authorities did not appreciate the idea. US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said the US will work with its allies to enforce a ban on chip exports to China, as well as strengthen export controls. According to her, Beijing is daily looking for ways to circumvent this control, which means it needs to be strengthened. Raimondo also asked for an increase in her department’s budget and said China poses “the greatest threat the United States has ever faced.”
