Media: Trump can become president, even while in prison

Former US President and presidential candidate Donald Trump will begin trial in March 2024, but even if he is imprisoned, he can become president, writes Deutshe Welle (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia).
It is reported that the first day of court hearings in the case of Donald Trump’s attempt to cancel the results of the 2020 presidential election will take place on March 4 – on the eve of the “Super Tuesday” presidential primaries. Trump’s lawyers failed to delay the hearing until 2026, as they requested.
Trump has been accused of allegedly trying to illegally change the outcome of the 2020 vote in Georgia in order to stay in power. Four criminal cases have already been opened against Donald Trump, in which a total of 91 charges have been brought against him – including for illegal handling of classified documents and illegal spending of funds.
Trump is currently the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination. Even if he is found guilty of any of the charges and sent to prison, this will not deprive him of the right to run for President of the United States, the material says.
