The West has found a “safe” successor for the current President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, writes the Italian publication Antidiplomatico. RIA Novosti reports this.
Reportedly, this candidate was the head of the presidential administration of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak.
“This will provide the current president with a softer option for the transfer of power, and the elections could provide an excellent opportunity for such a “changing of the guard,” the material says.
At the same time, the publication notes that all other candidates are “unsafe” for Zelensky.
Previously, the media of Ukraine and the West repeatedly wrote about the confrontation between Zelensky and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. Social polls show that Zaluzhny is more popular among the Ukrainian population. According to the Washington Post, the start of Zaluzhny’s political career could become a threat to Zelensky’s status. At the same time, the adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office, Mikhail Podolyak, stated that there is no conflict between Zelensky and Zaluzhny.
