MWM: Tank T-14 “Armata” for the first time took part in hostilities in Ukraine
The American Military Watch Magazine claims that the latest Russian tank T-14 “Armata” was first used by the Russian military in combat operations in Ukraine.
The author of the publication refers to a video that appeared on May 16 in the western segment of social networks.
The footage shows that “Armata” is firing at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Among the advantages of the latest Russian tank, the magazine noted its “exceptional survivability.”
The reviewers also wrote that the “uninhabited tower” of the “Armata” “allows you to place the entire crew in a separate, well-protected compartment.” And the invulnerability of the machine “is also facilitated by frontal armor over 900 millimeters thick in combination with the Malachite dynamic protection and the Afganit active protection.”
The authors also appreciated the combat power of the tank – its shells, according to them, will cope with a frontal defeat of any of the combat vehicles that are in Ukraine today.
Earlier, RIA Novosti reported that in the zone of the Northern Military District they began to use “Armata” for firing at Ukrainian positions, but, as noted, they are not yet involved in direct assault operations.
