China and Kazakhstan have signed an agreement on the mutual abolition of the visa regime for business and tourist trips. About it reported in the press service of the Kazakh President.
The new rule provides for exemption from visa requirements for citizens of the two countries during trips lasting no more than 30 calendar days from the moment they cross the common border. Within six months, citizens can stay in countries without a visa for a total of 90 days.
The draft agreement was published on the portal of open regulatory legal acts of Kazakhstan in April. It said that the countries are signing a document to promote “further strengthening of the eternal all-round strategic partnership between the two states, in order to facilitate mutual travel of citizens of their states on the territories of their states, in accordance with the principles of equality and mutual benefit.”
The document was signed during the visit of Kazakh President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev to China, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
At the talks, the heads of state signed more than 20 agreements, in particular, concerning international transportation, cooperation between ministries, universities, in the field of industrialization and investment, etc.
