Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo will play for the Saudi football club An-Nasr from January 1, the contract is for two and a half seasons. This is reported by the Spanish edition Marca.
According to the newspaper, in cooperation with An-Nasr, Cristiano Ronaldo will become the highest paid athlete in the world. The footballer’s earnings will approach €200 million per season.
Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United at the end of November. Prior to that, he gave an interview in which he sharply criticized the leadership of the football club, in particular the head coach of the Dutch team, Erik ten Hag. The contract was terminated by agreement of the parties – the new Portuguese club will not pay compensation for him and can hire him as early as January, when the transfer window opens.
